Search Contractors shows the verified pool only. Filter by required skills and certifications (years are minimums), daily rate (ceiling), IR35 preference, experience level, industry, star rating, distance from a postcode, and remote-only.

From any project, the search icon jumps straight to the grid with that project's requirements pre-applied — everything travels in the URL, so the link is shareable.

Three ways to connect

1. Wait for proposals — contractors apply with a cover note and bid; triage them as Unread / Read / Shortlisted.
2. Invite — individually from a profile, or multi-select for a Group Invite.
3. Screen with Lucy — send an AI screening request. The contractor accepts or declines; Lucy runs the interview and grades 1–5. You see the grade and full transcript once the screening completes.

Reading a contractor card

Crown = verification depth (hover for details). Rating and projects completed come from finished contracts. Last connection and typical response time come from real sign-in activity. Distance is computed from your postcode.
